The International Animal Welfare Training Institute welcomes you to the first lecture in the 2009-2010 school year series Monday, September 21, 2009.
Dick Green, Ed.D., will present "International Response to Disasters: The Animal Component" at 6 p.m. in Room 1020, Gladys Valley Hall.
Green is the emergency relief manager for disasters at the International Fund for Animal Welfare. He has responded to scores of international and national disasters and his teams have rescued thousands of animals from floods, tornadoes, fires, and hurricanes.
Interested members of the campus community, emergency responders and members of the public are invited to attend the free lecture. No reservations are required.
Before the talk, visitors can view emergency response equipment to be showcased in the Large Animal Clinic parking lot at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
