Aguirre Lecture for Frontiers in Health Rescheduled to April 12
The Calvin Schwabe One Health Project announces a change to its spring lecture series, "Frontiers in One Health."
Alonso Aguirre, DVM, MS, PHD, senior vice president of the Conservation Medicine Program at the Wildlife Trust, will speak Monday, April 12, 2010 at noon.
The title of his presentation is "Conservation Medicine: Ecological Health in Practice."
Dr. Aguirre was originally scheduled to speak on March 29.
The lecture will take place in 1020 Valley Hall, School of Veterinary Medicine.
The presentation is part of the lecture series, "Frontiers in One Health," designed to educate future veterinarians to integrate human, animal, and ecosystem protection into their professional lives. Speakers are leaders from veterinary medicine and other health professions who are leading the way in expanding the role of veterinarians to help society solve its most pressing and complex health problems.
Members of the public are cordially welcome. Lectures in this series are free, and no reservations are required.
