Second Annual Food Animal Symposium

The Food Animal Reproduction and Medicine (FARM) Club at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to announce the Second Annual Food Animal Symposium. 

Please join us Saturday, October 9, 2010 for updates on Trichomonoiasis and Epizootic Bovine Abortion, a discussion of issues relevant to veterinary medicine that are before the California Legislature, and information about business succession and retirement planning, among other exciting topics.

The symposium, which takes place in 1020 Gladys Valley Hall, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Davis, Calif., will be worth six CE credits.

In addition to earning six units of CE credit, participants will receive breakfast and lunch.

A tri-tip barbecue and social take place at 5:30pm. Family members are welcome to this part of the event.

As of October 1, registration is $85. Registration fee includes symposium attendance, lunch, one dinner, and one drink ticket.

Student registration: $10; additional dinner tickets: $25

Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 am in Valley Hall foyer, Health Sciences District, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Davis, Calif.

Directions to Valley Hall:

From Sacramento

1. Take I-80 WEST to San Francisco.
2. Stay on I-80 WEST towards San Francisco for approx 15 miles.
3. Take HIGHWAY 113 NORTH exit (to Woodland).
4. Take the first exit, HUTCHISON DRIVE, and bear RIGHT (east) on Hutchison Drive.
5. Take the second RIGHT onto LARUE ROAD (4-way light). Drive on LaRue until you reach a curve in the road.
6. At the curve, turn RIGHT on GARROD DRIVE. Follow Garrod Drive around to the stop sSign. At the stop sign, turn right onto VETERINARY MEDICINE DRIVE. Vet Med Drive will wind around to Parking Lot #50. Turn left into Parking Lot #50. There is also parking available next to the Center for Companion Animal Health, CCAH, in Parking lot #55.
7. Please do not park in any of the spaces marked for patients of the Small Animal Clinic.

From San Francisco

1. Take I-80 EAST to Sacramento/Reno/Lake Tahoe.
2. Stay on I-80 EAST toward Sacramento.
