The School of Veterinary Medicine has welcomed Allison McCurdy to the Office of Development. Her appointment became effective in January 2012.
McCurdy’s charge is to expand and coordinate a broad-based donor stewardship program. She will help develop strategic communication and recognition, resolve donor issues and provide fund-raising functions to enhance relationships with alumni, individual donors, corporations and foundations.
McCurdy holds a BA in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento. Prior to joining UC Davis, Allison worked in consulting and public affairs. McCurdy served most recently as development and program assistant at the Wildlife Health Center, where she supported the Mountain Gorilla One Health Program and other development efforts of the center.
She brings to the school a passion for building relationships, problem solving, and — of course — animals.
