Professional and doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty interested in an 11-month mentored research fellowship at one of 25 international sites are encouraged to attend talks by Dr. Craig Cohen from UCSF and Dr. Patricia Conrad from UC Davis.
They will be presenting on the UCGHI Student and Junior Faculty and GloCal Health Fellowship programs on Wednesday, October 24th.
Dr. Cohen is the Co-Director of the GloCal Health Fellowship program, a Professor in the UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences and an Attending Physician at San Francisco General Hospital. He conducts medical research in two major areas: HIV and sexually transmitted infection prevention and HIV/AIDS care and support in developing countries.
Dr. Conrad is the Co-Director of the UCGHI One Health Center, UC Davis lead of the GloCal Health Fellowship program and a Distinguished Professor at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. As a veterinarian and protozoologist her interest is in zoonotic disease transmission at the interface between wildlife, humans and domestic animals.
