Walter Boyce Walter Boyce has been Executive Director of the UC Davis Wildlife Health Center since 1998, and has been a professor and wildlife veterinarian on the faculty of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine since 1988. His educational background includes zoology (BS, Auburn University 1978), veterinary medicine (DVM, Auburn University 1981), and parasitology (MS, University of Florida 1985; PhD, Purdue University 1988). He teaches parasitology and wildlife health and disease to veterinary students at UC Davis, and he supervises graduate students in the following graduate groups; Ecology, Epidemiology, Comparative Pathology. Walter is interested in a wide range of issues and has published over 80 scientific papers on species ranging from Africanized bees to bighorn sheep, and in disciplines ranging from ecology to molecular genetics. In addition to mountain lions, he currently oversees projects on West Nile Virus and Avian Influenza. PUBLICATIONS BY DATE; click HERE for PUBLICATIONS BY TOPIC.
