Walleye pollock are carnivorous, midwater, schooling fish that occur year-round in the inland waters of Washington and British Columbia. While walleye pollock in south Puget Sound were once the most common species taken in the recreational fishery, this population experienced a sharp deline in the 1980s and now is a candidate for listing by Washington state. |
