You Are Not Alone
Once per month, the UC Davis veterinary hospital hosts a 90-minute pet loss support group via the Zoom communications platform that allows users to connect with video and audio. This allows for participants to join the meeting virtually from wherever they are located. Attendees will need a computer with a camera or a smartphone, as well as a stable internet connection.
These meetings are a time for our hospital clients, as well as members of the UC Davis faculty/staff community, who have experienced loss to meet virtually as a group to share stories of their pets, thoughts on their feelings and loss, and find common ground to help others in the group. The meetings can also be a tool to help guide our clients through the grieving process.
The pet loss support group generally meets the third Thursday of each month from 3:30-5 p.m. Pacific Time. Please check back to this site for any potential date changes. Meetings for 2026 begin on January 15.
