[Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Medicine Club (WAAM)] Wildlife Darting Wet Lab

The Wildlife Darting Wet Lab through Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Medicine Club (WAAM) is a hands-on training experience designed to provide participants with practical experience in the techniques, tools, and safety protocols used in the chemical immobilization of wildlife. This lab complements theoretical instruction in wildlife capture and anesthesia with real-world application in a controlled setting. Participants will learn the principles of remote drug delivery systems, including dart guns, and blowpipes, as well as dart placement. Special emphasis is placed on animal welfare, field safety, and teamwork.
