sPrideVMC at UC Davis is hosting a group camping trip to Clear Lake State Park (SP)! Bring your tent, binoculars, snacks, drinks, dice, etc. for another fun weekend getaway!
What is Clear Lake State Park (SP)?
"Clear Lake State Park is on the shores of California’s largest freshwater lake. The area is popular for all kinds of water recreation, including swimming, fishing, boating and water-skiing. Anglers can catch largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and channel catfish. The park is a nesting place for waterfowl."
🏕️ Set up a tent with friends and sleep under the stars!
🦆 Hike the Kelsey Creek Trail to view waterfowl that inhabit Kelsey Slough!
🚣 Bring your swimsuit and/or water activity gear to cool off!
🐟 Fish for seasonal river fish (BYO rod, reel, & license)!
🫕 Feast at the camp cookout for dinner and dessert!
🧙♂️ Roll initiative at a camping exclusive D&D one-shot!
sPrideVMC will be able to fund the campsite reservation and food for up to 16 club members (up to 2 campsites/4 tents total). Campers with their own supplies/transportation AND who are willing to share them will receive priority for selection. Carpools and equipment sharing will be coordinated by sPrideVMC during the sign-up process in order to maximize the number of funded attendees.
Those who are not funded are welcome to join for all activities, but must reserve their own campsite, coordinate their own transportation/camping supplies, and bring their own food. More details will be sent to those who RSVP.
