The Raptor Clinical Skills Wet Lab through Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Medicine Club (WAAM) is a hands-on educational workshop where students will learn common clinical skills used on wild raptors. Guided by Dr. Hugues Beaufrère (Clinician with UC Davis Companion Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery Service, boarded in avian and zoological medicine), students will perform clinical skills such as bandaging, endotracheal tube placement, and feather imping on raptor carcasses in UC Davis anatomy lab. This lab emphasizes practical clinical techniques used in wildlife rehabilitation and zoo medicine.
