Dr. Allan Gunn Joins School as Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor of Livestock Herd Health and Reproduction

Dr. Allan Gunn has joined the Department of Population Health and Reproduction as Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor of Livestock Herd Health and Reproduction, effective May 2026.

Dr. Gunn received his BSc.Agric degree (1984) from the University of Natal, South Africa and his BVM&S (1993) from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom.

In 2002, 2006 and 2021 he gained membership to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, and in 2008 became a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenologists (DACT).  He became a RCVS Registered Specialist (2013) in Veterinary Reproduction (Theriogenology) and in 2014 an AVBC Registered Specialist in Veterinary Reproduction (Theriogenology).  In 2020, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

He has been serving as an Associate Professor (2021-present) at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, NSW.

His research focuses on large animal medicine and reproduction.
