Dr. Karolynn Ellis Named Assistant Professor of Clinical Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

Dr. Karolynn Ellis has joined the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences as Assistant Professor of Clinical Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Ellis received her BS (2018) in Animal Science and her DVM (2022) from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.  She subsequently completed a combined Small Animal Rotating and Specialty Orthopedic Medicine and Research Internship (2023) at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO. Ellis then returned to Cornell University and completed a residency (2023-2026) in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. 

Ellis’ research interests focus on advancing evidence-based sports medicine and rehabilitation through clinically applicable research. She is particularly interested in musculoskeletal imaging, with thegoal of improving diagnosis by defining anatomy, novel uses with microvascular flow, and tracking response to tissue over time. She is also interested in regenerative medicine treatments and clinical trials pertaining to its use in orthopedic patients.
