About the Internship
The Livestock Herd Health and Reproduction (LHHR) internship is a one-year program that provides opportunities for an intern to gain clinical experience in the herd health and reproductive management of livestock, to become proficient in routine reproductive techniques, and to gain exposure to advanced reproductive technologies in livestock species. The internship provides opportunities to develop experiences in research, scientific writing, and review of scientificliterature. This program will prepare the intern for a residency in any livestock-related specialty (preventative medicine/ ACVPM, theriogenology/ACT, ABVP practioner boards, medicine/ACVIM) or a career in private practice or industry working with livestock. Interns will rotate through in-house Livestock Medicine & Surgery and share emergency duty on a rotating basis. Our LHHR clinical team includes faculty with board certification in the American College of Theriogenology (ACT) and American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).
