Maddy - Case Study

Maddy: Total Joint Replacement

Maddy had a painful deformed left hip (likely caused by an untreated fracture early in life) and needed a total hip replacement. Her radiographs revealed the lack of a “ball and socket joint” in her hip.

UC Davis veterinary surgeons designed and sized a prosthetic joint to correct the deformity.

Maddy’s thigh bone had a very unusual shape. A total hip replacement was planned by doing a virtual surgery using CAD software. Maddy is doing very well now.”
