[LVMA] Día De Los Muertos Altar and Celebration

Event Date

Location
Valley Hall Foyer and Patio

We are excited to announce the Latinx Veterinary Medical Association's (LVMA) interactive ofrenda (altar) and lunch event for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) which is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. To commemorate the lives of loved ones, LVMA has created an ofrenda which will be on display in Valley Commons on November 2nd from 8am-5pm. If you would like to participate, we encourage you to bring a photo or special object (no food, please!) that represents a loved one or a beloved pet and place it on the altar to help us all remember and celebrate the joy that they brought to your life. We encourage you to thank the animals whose lives help us in our learning and in research as well.

From 12-1pm, we will be painting, planting marigolds, and making papel picado while enjoying pan dulce, coffee, and hot chocolate. RSVP with LVMA to guarantee food, painting and/or planting supplies.
