Come grab some lunch and join Students of One Health and Canine Medicine Club hear welcome Dr. Michelle Chang as she dives into the fascinating (and a little terrifying) world of rabies. She’ll walk us through how rabies actually works in humans and animals, what the current situation looks like here in California and around the world, and what vets need to know about the laws that show up on boards but also affect day to day as a practicing vet. Dr. Chang will share real case examples and talk about what happens if you are ever exposed, what steps you should take, how often to check titers, and whether that vaccine you got in vet school really has you covered. Don’t miss this chance to get practical, necessary info on a disease every vet has to be ready for all while enjoying lunch with your classmates!
