[Specialties Club] TFAST Focused Cardiac Exam with Dr. Ames

NOTE: Student club and organization events are limited to current UC Davis Veterinary Medicine students who are registered SAVMA members. Additionally, many club and organization events are further restricted to club members who have paid their respective club dues.

Two groups led by Dr. Ames and Dr. Gagnon.Maximum students will be 10 (5 students per group). The emphasis will be on the focused cardiac exam. We ask for 3 very well behaved dogs medium sized for participation. FCU is a qualitative point-of-care, low-stress, and time-sensitive examination of the heart and great vessels that gives clinicians additional information to make treatment decisions quickly. The goal for this lab is to introduce first year to cardiology and reiterate the topic for second year before their Y2 test!
