Why are Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) Important To Me as a Clinician?

Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) are essential for understanding how to effectively assess and develop core veterinary competencies, ensuring graduates are prepared for real-world practice.

The UCD School of Veterinary Medicine is beginning its implementation of the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) Competency-Based Veterinary Education (CBVE) framework.

This training targets clinical faculty and focuses on the implementation of the EPAs in the clinical setting. This training provides a brief background and review of EPAs, practical insights implementing the new EPA format, and enhancing student performance through structured, competency-based training and feedback.
