Robert Collins Appointed Veterinary Medical Complex Facilities Project Manager

Robert Collins, RVT

Robert Collins, RVT will step into the role of Veterinary Medical Complex Facilities Project Manager, effective March 1, 2026, reporting to the Dean’s Office.

This is a critical role as the school moves forward with several major initiatives within the Facilities Master Plan, including the Primary Care/Community Surgery Hospital, the Veterinary Education Pavilion, the Small Animal Hospital expansion, Large Animal Hospital upgrades, and future projects. In this role, Robert will work closely with School and Hospital leadership and in lockstep with Design and Construction Management to help ensure projects are well planned and successfully delivered.

Robert has been an extraordinary VMTH manager and a trusted leader across the hospital. He brings deep institutional knowledge, strong operational and project management experience, and a steady, collaborative approach. Many personnel have worked with Robert through operating rooms, surgery and anesthesia services, facilities master planning, and the Hobbs San Diego project.

This appointment is well deserved. It reflects Robert’s hard work, professionalism, and genuine commitment to the hospital and the School. It also reflects something valued deeply at the hospital: When people lead with integrity, kindness, and a focus on doing the right thing, good opportunities follow.

As we enter this next phase of facilities planning and growth, our success will depend on collaboration across the school community. Everyone is encouraged to partner with Robert, share ideas, and stay engaged as the school works together to create facilities that center on our patients and clients while supporting our teams and learners.
