Dr. Ceri Weber has joined the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Cell Biology as Assistant Professor of Integrative Physiology.
Dr. Weber earned her BS in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington in 2013 and her PhD in Cell Biology from Duke University in 2020. Since 2020 she has been a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, at the University of California, San Diego, CA working with Dr. Kimberly Cooper.
Dr. Eduardo de Souza Ribeiro has joined the Department of Population Health and Reproduction as Associate Professor of Theriogenology.
Dr. Ribeiro received his BVM (2008) from Santa Catarina State University, Brazil; a MS (2011) in Animal Science and a PhD (2015) in Animal Molecular and Cellular Biology, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL.
Dr. Karolynn Ellis has joined the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences as Assistant Professor of Clinical Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Ellis received her BS (2018) in Animal Science and her DVM (2022) from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. She subsequently completed a combined Small Animal Rotating and Specialty Orthopedic Medicine and Research Internship (2023) at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO. Ellis then returned to Cornell University and completed a residency (2023-2026) in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Heidi Reesink has been appointed as the Director of the J.D. Wheat Veterinary Orthopedics Research Laboratory (VORL). VORL provides an environment for multidisciplinary studies pertaining to musculoskeletal disorders of animals.
Dr. Mark Stetter has been reappointed to a second term as dean of the Weill School of Veterinary Medicine following the completion of a comprehensive performance review.
Dr. Marvin Goldman, professor emeritus of the school and a pioneering radiation biologist whose research helped establish international safety standards for radioactive materials, died July 20, 2026. He was born May 2, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Joe P. Morgan died on May 31, 2026, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After graduating from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1960, Dr. Morgan served as an AVMA Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in 1961. He received an M.S. from Colorado State University in 1962 and was an NIH Fellow at the Royal Veterinary College in Stockholm, Sweden from 1964 until 1967, where he successfully defended his Vet. Med. Dr. dissertation.
