Research Focus
My main research focus is Clinical Epidemiology and Research Quality and Transparency, particularly in relation to soft tissue and oncologic surgical disease in dogs and cats. My overall research goals are to examine how clinical research is conducted and reported, improve awareness of epidemiologically sound methodologies and transparent reporting practices, and develop new tools to further these goals, such as validated outcome measures and standardized reporting systems. Other secondary research areas include clinical surgical disease in dogs and cats and advancement of women in veterinary medicine.
Specialty Focus
I am a board-certified small animal surgeon with special training and expertise in surgical oncology. I hold the titles of Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and American College of Veterinary Surgeons' Fellow in Surgical Oncology.
