
UC Davis to Launch First-Ever Annual AggieVET Veterinary Conference in 2026
The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine’s Center for Continuing Professional Education is proud to announce the launch of AggieVET 2026, a brand-new, two-day veterinary conference designed to deliver premier continuing education for the entire veterinary community. The inaugural event will be held May 30–31, 2026, both in-person at UC Davis and virtually for participants around the world.
Hosted in the heart of Northern California, AggieVET 2026 will bring together veterinary professionals, technicians, specialists, and students for a dynamic learning experience that blends leading-edge education with meaningful collaboration and community connection.

“This is the first-ever annual symposium of its kind at UC Davis, uniting expertise from across our clinical and academic programs,” said Dr. Jane Sykes, director of the School of Veterinary Medicine’s Center for Continuing Professional Education. “We’re focused on content that veterinary professionals can immediately apply to elevate their daily practice. We also want to create a welcoming and fun environment for networking with peers, which is so important for job satisfaction and building a sense of community.”
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
AggieVET 2026 will feature five focused tracks, with sessions led by UC Davis clinicians, technicians, and industry experts.

The Technician Track will spotlight anesthesia and clinical care topics with expert presentations from RVTs and VTSs Domonique Fortner, Jody Nugent-Deal, and Kelly Wray. Additional track content is being developed by the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) Continuing Education Committee chaired by Dr. Linda Barter, with contributions from specialty groups such as the Behavior Club and teams from the VMTH's specialty services.
