Johnny Cash: Pug in Black

Johnny Cash was attacked by another dog and was nearly euthanized. He received a treatment that was pioneered at UC Davis more than 10 years ago by professors and oral surgeons Drs. Frank Verstraete and Boaz Arzi: using bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) to regrow missing jawbone.
