Dr. Rodrigo Gallardo Honored by State Assembly and Poultry Industry

 

The California Legislature recently passed an Assembly Resolution honoring UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Professor Rodrigo Gallardo. Assembly Member Resolution No. 1257 congratulates Dr. Gallardo upon his receipt of the California Poultry Federation’s (CPF) prestigious Golden Rooster Award.

According to CPF, the Golden Rooster Award is the California poultry industry’s highest honor. It is meant for the industry’s most outstanding member or supporter who has made major contributions to the poultry industry. The award “is an inspiration for all to admire.”

Alumni Spotlight - Dr. Daniela Yuschenkoff

From growing up a 3-block walk to the San Francisco Zoo and going on “stroller safaris” with her family, to becoming a Board-Certified Specialist in Zoological Medicine™, Dr. Daniela Yuschenkoff’s career has recently come full circle. It was a proud moment for Dr. Yuschenkoff finding out she had passed the rigorous, 2-day exam. After over 3 years of preparation and 6 weeks of serious studying, she claimed that those two days were the “smartest I’ll ever be!”

Monty the Python Has Cancerous Tumor Removed

Monty, a 9-year-old male ball python, has been with owner Teena Fultz for five years. Already dubbed Monty when she received him, the snake got to keep his famous moniker as Fultz appreciated the humor behind it. They have been constant companions since.
