Center for Companion Animal Health Tour


Dr. Michael Kent, director of the Center for Companion Animal Health, gives a tour of the facility. The CCAH building houses small animal research laboratory space, as well as a few hospital services including the Community Practice Service and the Oncology Service. Highlights of the tour include the linear accelerator, oncology treatment areas, and research space.


Center for Equine Health Tour


Dr. Carrie Finno, director of the Center for Equine Health, shares the latest research projects at the center, which include coronavirus, herpesvirus, and genetics. The facility houses more than 100 horses in its herd, as well as clinical services such as the Equine Reproduction Service and aspects of the Diagnostic Imaging Service (equine PET scanning) and the Genetics Service.


Student Experience Tour


DVM student Prathima Garudadri, ’23, president of the UC Davis Student American Veterinary Medical Association Chapter, discusses online student learning, SAVMA activities, and COVID-19 testing. Join Prathima as she takes you to Gladys Valley Hall, the SVM COVID-19 testing center, and the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
