About The Labs
The Clinical Diagnostic Laboratories are located within the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at the University of California, Davis. The labs provides services to the hospital's veterinarians, as well as the veterinarians of California, the United States and other countries. We also support the diverse research community of UC Davis and other public and private entities. Testing for research can be tailored to meet specific study needs.
The laboratory faculty includes veterinary specialists board certified in Clinical Pathology and Microbiology. Highly qualified and trained veterinary professional staff provides essential, state-of-the-art diagnostic testing with expertise using specialized equipment and standard operating procedures.
Accurate result reporting with a rapid turnaround time is important to our laboratories and for quality patient care. Laboratory test results help your veterinarian maintain your pet's health and, when your pet is sick, make a diagnosis so that treatment can begin. Early diagnosis helps assure that appropriate treatment takes place quickly.
